The Trusted Seller Badge is a visual trust indicator that highlights sellers who consistently complete orders with low cancellations and low returns.
The badge helps buyers make more confident purchase decisions and rewards sellers who reliably fulfill orders.
What does the badge mean for buyers?
When you see the Trusted Seller Badge, it means that the seller has:
- Completed at least 3 orders in the last 6 months, and
- Maintained low cancellation and return rates during that time.
The badge is based on recent performance and is updated automatically.
Where do buyers see the Trusted Seller Badge?
Buyers may see the Trusted Seller Badge in the following places on Skoop:
- Listing cards in search and browse results
- Seller profiles, next to the seller’s name
- Seller information sections on listing pages
When buyers hover over or tap the badge, they will see a short explanation of what the badge means.
What does the badge mean for sellers?
The Trusted Seller Badge is earned automatically based on the seller’s fulfillment performance over the last 6 months.
It is designed to:
- Increase buyer trust
- Improve visibility
- Encourage reliable order fulfillment
There is no application process — eligibility is evaluated automatically.
How do sellers qualify for the Trusted Seller Badge?
To qualify, all of the following must be met in the last 6 months:
- At least 3 completed orders. (Completed = delivered and the 2-day post-delivery return window has passed)
- Cancellation rate of 10% or lower. (Includes seller cancellations and expired orders)
- Return rate below 10%
Eligibility is recalculated automatically as new orders are completed.
How is the badge evaluated and updated?
The badge is evaluated dynamically:
- Each time a new order is completed, eligibility is recalculated.
- The badge may be granted or removed automatically based on the most recent 6 months of activity.
Why did my badge get removed?
The badge may be temporarily removed if, in the last 6 months:
- Your cancellation rate reaches 10% or higher, or
- Your return rate reaches 10% or higher.
Once your performance improves and you meet the criteria again, the badge is automatically reinstated.
Why don’t I see the badge yet?
You may not see the badge if:
- You have completed fewer than 3 orders in the last 6 months, or
- Your cancellation or return rates are above the thresholds.
- Sellers with low order volume are not evaluated until sufficient data is available.
Can I apply for the badge?
No. The Trusted Seller Badge is earned automatically and cannot be applied for or requested.
Does the badge affect my account or listing status?
No. The badge:
- Does not impact your ability to sell
- Does not suspend or restrict your account
- Is not a penalty
It is a positive trust signal only.
Does the badge guarantee sales or successful delivery?
No. The Trusted Seller Badge reflects past fulfillment performance, not future outcomes, and does not guarantee order completion or buyer satisfaction.
That said, the badge is designed to increase seller credibility and buyer confidence. Sellers with the badge may benefit from:
- Higher buyer trust
- Increased likelihood of being chosen by buyers
- Potentially stronger conversion compared to similar unbadged listings
Actual sales outcomes may vary and depend on multiple factors (price, availability, delivery experience, product quality, etc.).
Can the badge criteria change in the future?
We may adjust eligibility criteria over time to improve buyer trust and marketplace quality. Any changes will be communicated in advance.
